How to stimulate extreme intelligence
Let’s straighten out a few things before we dive into the deep end. Number one, your intelligence is not static; it changes based on season, environment, food and intention. And yes, you can direct it.
Number two, what is intelligence exactly? From a network & system’s perspective, intelligence is pattern recognition and extrapolation. Where higher intelligence requires less data to deduce patterns and a greater ability for lateral thinking.
Last clarification, what is intelligence for? As a biological organism we have to deal with threats and with the burden of reproduction. To do this well we have to predict how the environment is going to change. Intelligence is, in essence, our ability to alter our beliefs about the world based on information that is being received. A more accurate model of the world leads to better predictions and thus greater success at reproduction.
Why is intelligence not static?
First you have to understand that intelligence is a software program, it has a function. And sometimes this function hinders more than it helps.
When is it useful? When reproduction drive is low, when there is no direct threat and when there are enough resources.
Intelligence is used to break down old & faulty beliefs, which is inherently stressful. It is a way to fine tune automatic behavior for future success.
What alters the cycle?
First and foremost, seasons, where summer reduces intelligence through environmental stress, spring through reproductive pressure, winter through lack of resources. Autumn however, lacks intelligence inhibitors and is therefore suitable for hyper intelligence.
There are many levers to pull to either down regulate or up regulate intelligence. But I’ll try and keep it simple: food, water, movement, breathing, environment, routine & intent.
I’ve personally through practise been able to unlock unlimited intelligence, but this only happens once or twice a year. The rest of the year I’m busy connecting all the dots to make the insights tangible.
Application
My personal suggestion is to create a weekly moment where you maximize cortical stimulation to reassess your beliefs, routines and behaviors.
How? Via the right time of the day (mine is 3 am), via plants (green tea, cactus etc.), fasting, movement (skill-based) a quiet environment and clear intention — let the cortical magic do the rest.
